Adolescence is a time of immense change — physically, socially, and emotionally. It’s a period where teens are experimenting with identity, independence, and belonging, often while juggling academic demands and digital life.

It’s also a stage when emotional struggles may surface more vividly. Teen mental health support provides a confidential and respectful space for young people to make sense of what they’re experiencing and to develop ways of coping that feel authentic and sustainable.

Teens often come to therapy feeling anxious, low, misunderstood, or stuck. Others are simply seeking someone neutral to talk to outside their family. My role is to help them explore their inner world, build skills for managing emotions, and find constructive paths through the challenges they face. For parents, this can sometimes mean learning how to stay connected from an appropriate distance.

  • Anxiety, depression, or stress management
  • Identity, confidence, and self-esteem
  • Peer and friendship issues, school adjustment, or performance pressures
  • Family communication, boundaries, and conflict
  • Coping with major changes like relocation, separation, or loss

My approach is collaborative and strengths-based, drawing from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, and Systemic approaches. Where appropriate, I may involve parents in select sessions to support communication and cohesion—always with the teen’s consent and comfort as guiding principles.

The aim is to help young people feel more grounded and capable, equipped with both understanding and practical tools for the challenges of adolescence and beyond.
